Give Hope to Africa’s Forgotten AIDS Orphans
Every day, millions of children in Africa wake up without parents, protection, or opportunity—simply because HIV/AIDS took the lives of the adults who once cared for them.
Friends of AIDS Orphans in Africa (FADOA) exists to restore hope to these children by helping them grow up safe, supported, and fully integrated into their communities—just like any other child deserves.
Why Your Support Matters
Nearly 80% of the world’s AIDS orphans live in Africa, yet only 3% receive any form of assistance. Without help, these children face overwhelming odds:
- Little or no access to food, shelter, clothing, healthcare, or education
- A growing number of child-headed households, where children must care for siblings
- Elderly grandparents forced into poverty while raising orphaned grandchildren
- High school dropout rates, cutting off any chance of a better future
The devastation of COVID-19 has pushed these children even further into poverty. In places like Cameroon’s Northwest Province, ongoing civil conflict has displaced families, destroyed livelihoods, and left AIDS orphans even more vulnerable.
The Gap Others Don’t Reach
While governments and large international charities work tirelessly, many remote rural villages are never reached. Hundreds of thousands of AIDS orphans remain invisible—without aid, without advocates, and without hope.
That is where FADOA steps in.
Our Commitment
FADOA was founded by retired United Nations professionals who come from these very villages. We are not distant observers—we are family. We have personally cared for orphaned children left behind by HIV/AIDS, and we understand their needs because we live their reality.
Our mission is simple and urgent: to directly support abandoned AIDS orphans in Africa’s most remote communities, ensuring they have access to education, healthcare, food, and a chance to become productive, empowered adults.
You Can Change a Life Today
By sponsoring a child or making a donation, you become part of a child’s journey from loss to hope. Your generosity provides more than material support—it restores dignity, stability, and the promise of a future.
These children cannot wait. They need you now.
Help give Africa’s AIDS orphans the chance they deserve.
